November–December 2025 ◠ Winter is coming, the goose is getting fat, etc. etc., and it's time for writing songs. One more performance this year, though: if you're in/around Canning NS, come hear me and the amazing Freya Milliken share songs at the Ross Creek Annex on Friday, Dec. 12 (7:30pm)!
Been thinking about this Audre Lorde quote: “Pain is important: how we evade it, how we succomb to it, how we deal with it, how we transcend it.” Been thinking about the Sensei in One Battle After Another, especially his mantra: “ocean waves, ocean waves.” Pain and peace, pain and peace.
September–October 2025 ◠ I was drumming with The Lifers across Canada! We celebrated the release of Honesty, an album that's as adventurous as it is direct. Music is forever. These shows were powerful. I love my band family.
I also released the Cast Album for URSA: A FOLK MUSICAL—the original folk musical Jake Schindler & I wrote, and which we've performed in theatres, parks, caves, and bars around Ontario since 2022. Such a proud day for our little Uncommon Folk Collective. Give it a listen here!
